How do I start ordering?

Click on 'Start New Order' on the main page banner. The estimated delivery time to your location will be shown upon selecting your delivery address. Start adding items from the menu to your shopping bag. If you haven't logged in, you need to sign in before adding items. When you've finalised your order, click the 'CHECKOUT' button at the bottom of your shopping bag.

I am an existing McDelivery user and don't have a password. How do I sign in?

An email with your account details has already been sent to your registered email address. If you haven't received this, click on 'FORGOT PASSWORD?' and we will send you another email with instructions.

I am new to McDelivery. How do I set up my account?

Click on 'I'm a new customer'. Key in your delivery address, proceed with the registration by keying in your personal details and agreeing to our terms and conditions. Your account is now ready.

How do I add a new delivery address to my account?

You can add a new address by going to the 'Address Book' section in 'My Account' menu, or by clicking on the 'ADD A NEW ADDRESS' button when you start ordering.

How do I change my stored delivery addresses?

Your stored delivery addresses can be modified by clicking Address book in 'My Account' menu. You may add up to 5 delivery addresses in total. If you need to add more, please delete an existing address.

Can I change the email address for my account?

We're sorry but this feature is not available for now. Please register a new email account to start ordering now.

Can I contact McDonald's to change the email address for my account?

For security reasons, McDonald's cannot access your email account.

I've forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

Click on 'FORGOT PASSWORD?'. Enter the email address you registered with, and further instructions will be emailed to you. Please also check your Junk/Spam folder if you do not receive this email within 10 minutes.

I've forgotten/cannot log in with my email address registered previously on www.mcdeliverysa.co.za What must I do?

Register a new account with an email address (different from your previous one) to start ordering.

Where can I change my account info?

Once you've signed in to the site with your username and password, select 'My Account' from the menu and click on 'Account Settings'. You may change your account information there.

Can I share my account with members of my family?

Yes, you can share the same account. You will need to use the same log in details but cannot do this at the same time. For convenience and safety, it is recommended that each member registers a new account. Remember, it's free!

McDonald's has delivery service to my area but my address is not in the search results. What should I do?

We are constantly updating our mapping system to cover all the addresses within each delivery restaurants radius. You can insert your address in the pop up registration window, and leave your address for us to alert you when we are in your area. Alternately, please contact our contact centre to ensure your address does fall in the delivery radius. 0860 623 623.

Why do you not deliver to my area?

We are in the process of rolling out McDelivery to as many viable stores nationwide as we can. Please email us on mds@za.mcd.com so we can check your area and when it may or may not be due for McDelivery.

Why do you only deliver within a 7 min radius of a store?

Quality and service is our key driver so we have kept our radiuses limited in order to comply with this. Please email us on mds@za.mcd.com and we will track all queries in each area on this topic and review the radius distance should the volume warrant it.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

Yes. It is R30.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes. For orders through the contact centre it is R20. For orders online and via mobi site it is R15.

Why is the delivery fee higher when my order is placed through the contact centre?

Contact Centre costs are higher as we have telephonic and advisor costs to add on. We recommend always ordering online as it is more cost effective and enables us to give you better offers.

What times do you deliver?

This depends on the store you order from. Times will vary between 5am - 10:30pm.

Do you deliver 24/7?

No.

Why do you not deliver 24/7?

We do not deliver 24/7 due to safety reasons.

Do you offer the same menu options as in store?

Unless some items are not suitable for delivery, almost all of our menu items are offered through McDelivery. You can see McDelivery menu by pressing the "Browse Menu" on this site.

Can I order any item at any time?

No. all Breakfast items can be ordered between 5:00am - 10:30am, opening times vary on the restaurant, as well as LIMITED regular menu items (store dependent). All other menu items can be ordered from 10:30am onwards. Please see terms and conditions for any exclusion.

Can I order McCafe items for McDelivery?

Selected McCafe items are available through McDelivery.

How do I amend/remove items from my shopping bag?

To amend the items, you may click on the edit icon where you may change the quantity or the choice of items. Once amendments have been made, click 'SAVE' to reflect the changes. To delete the items, you may click on the delete icon where you may remove the selected items.

How do I place an advance order?

Click on 'ORDER IN ADVANCE' from the home page and select your delivery time and address. Choose items from the menu and click the 'CHECKOUT' button when you're done. If you haven't logged in, you need to sign in before selecting menu items.

How far in advance can I place an order?

You can pre order up to 3 days in advance and at least 2 hours in advance of delivery.

Why can't I order further than 3 days in advance for an advance order?

This is due to changing promotions and stock availability.

What happens if my order is over R400?

For orders over R400, the expected delivery time will be longer. Customer Care will contact you via your registered contact number.

How do I order extra condiments?

User can add condiments by going to the Order Details widget on the right column of the menu page.

User can click on the pen icon to edit amount of condiments. Please note that you may be entitled to a certain quantity of free Nugget Sauces (Jalapeno, BBQ and Sweet & Sour), depending on your order. Additional units of Nugget Sauce will be charged for.

How do I check the status of my order?

Click on 'Track My Order' from the top menu and enter your order number (you can find your order number in the confirmation email sent to you after your payment was received).

How can I know whether the restaurant received my online/mobi order?

You will receive an order confirmation email at the email address you registered. Please check your e-mail Junk/Spam folder.

How long do I need to wait for my order?

The delivery time is subject to weather conditions and quantity of the order. Please press the "Track Order" to check the expected delivery time.

What are the payment options available to me, both through the contact centre and ordering online?

You can pay by either cash or card.

Can you use 'Be Our Guest' cards on McDelivery?

Unfortunately you may not use 'Be Our Guest' cards on McDelivery.

How do I use/redeem a promotional code/coupon?

You will be asked to ender a coupon code prior to checkout to confirm your final order total. Please input the promotional code/coupon in the coupon code section in the Order Details tab on the menu page, and click 'APPLY'. Your promotional code will then be redeemed.

Why do I need to sign a copy of the receipt when my order is delivered?

We aim to deliver the best possible service, and this will ensure you check your order thoroughly and can notify the rider immediately if anything is incorrect or missing.

My order is incorrect/ I have items missing.

Please always ensure you check your order before the rider leaves. Should you notice something wrong after they have left please call our contact centre on 0860 623 623 so they can rectify the problem.

Can I change or cancel an order after the order has been made?

If the order is still in the restaurant, yes you can. Please press the "Track Order" to check the status of your order. You can then make changes or cancel your order by calling McDelivery on 0860 623 623.

I wanted to cancel my order but it was already processed. What do I do?

Please contact our contact centre on 0860 623 623 to cancel the order. If the driver still arrives please tell them that you called the contact centre to cancel the order and that he must take the order back to store.

Please contact our contact centre on 0860 623 623 to see if they can still change the order for you. If it is too late you will need to either cancel that order and create a new one or create an additional order.

How do I make a complaint about the quality of my order?
